Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom, or other assistive technology. Last updated October 18, 2026.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. WCAG is the most widely used web accessibility standard, and the U.S. Department of Justice refers to it in its guidance on the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What we have done

  • Every page has a "Skip to content" link, headings in order, and labels on every form field.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, and the item you are on always has a visible focus outline that the sticky header does not cover.
  • Text and buttons meet WCAG AA color contrast.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives. Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
  • Animation is turned off if your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Buttons and links are large enough to tap.

Display options

The Display options button at the top of every page lets you make text larger, raise contrast, and turn off motion. Your choice is saved on your device only. Your browser zoom and your device's accessibility settings also work on this site.

These options are a convenience, not a substitute for an accessible site. The changes listed above are what make the site work with assistive technology.

How we test

On October 18, 2026 we checked every public page with the axe-core accessibility engine against WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 A and AA rules, ran Google Lighthouse, and tabbed through the homepage by keyboard on desktop and phone screen sizes. Automated tools cannot catch everything, so we keep fixing problems as we find them or as you report them.

Known limits

  • Payment happens on Stripe's checkout page, which Stripe builds and maintains.
  • The interactive Google map on the About page is provided by Google. The address is always written out as text next to it.
  • Some links in blog posts go to other websites that we do not control.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site is hard to use, please tell us and we will fix it or get you the information another way.
